Race Information

- Team captains to complete the team registration form (these are attached, emailed to participants or available on the night).
- Race will commence at 7pm and finish at 8pm.
- Participants must respect and give way to other users of the oval.
- Participants take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing - if you feel unwell at any stage then you should withdraw (teams may continue with three runners).
Race Format and Rules
- Teams of four (mix of any age or gender).
- Each team member to take turns running a lap, then passing baton to next runner.
- Team members run in the order shown on the team registration form.
- On completing a lap, runners must clear the transition area promptly and report completed lap to the race coordinator.
- The aim is for teams to run as many laps as possible within the 60 minutes.
- Two 'scratch' calculations: the NRG scratch race and an Open scratch race. To win the NRG scratch race teams must have at least three NRG members
- Two handicap calculations will be made in conjunction, a NRG Handicap and an Open Handicap. Winners will be the teams running the most “equivalent” laps
- Handicaps will be determined using teams’ average age and participants' gender.
- A team's equivalent lap total will be calculated by multiplying its total completed laps by the team's handicap factor.
- A team’s final lap will be the last lap it STARTS within the 60 mins even if the lap is completed outside the 60mins
- In the event of a tie, the team starting its last completed lap first will be declared the winner.
- This is a fun competitive event and we suggest each teams has a range of ages, say 1 20s, 1 30s, 1 40s and 1 50s, with some mixed teams
We offer post-race drinks, pizza, celebration and prize announcements.
