Subject: Restrictions on exercise
From: NRG Editor

Dear ~~first_name~~ ,
As you may already be aware, a March-May 2020 level of restrictions is going into effect as of 5 PM today Friday 9th July for Greater Sydney. The luxury of exercise in groups of up to 10 and in more-distanced suburbs has been switched off until non-isolated case numbers come down.
You are allowed to run by yourself or with one other person, and within 10km radius of where you live. While that circle may not seem like a lot, my high school maths tell me the radius of that circle is 31.42km, and you have 78.54 fairly covid-free square kilometers of terrain in which to run. So don't hesitate to get out there and do it. There's bound to be a place within that you haven't gone for a run before, although it may be temporarily or permanently under water this weekend.
We will also throw you a few offbeat proposals in next week's newsletter and on the Facebook group, and will be back up and running in our groups as soon as the situation allows.

NRG is a community based running group and has a NSW registered COVID-19 Safety Plan. Aware of the latest COVID situation, and the risks associated with gatherings, your club’s committee recognises how important running is to your mental and physical health, so we are hosting our regular sessions in line with NSW current policy. Pre-registration for all events via this website is mandatory. No exceptions. This is for tracing in the very unfortunate and unlikely situation where somebody tests positive who's been to a recent session.
