What's Happening?

The long haul
With coronavirus cases continuing to rise, and community exposure sites increasing, it's anybody's guess when the lockdown will end. A reliable source has told me it will end on the 34th of Augtember. The race schedule is rotating like a treadmill, and the Googlemaps searches for running routes within 10km of home have increased.
Until then, your committee is hard at work on what will be a better club when we do start running in groups again. In the background, significant efforts are progressing on our website, social media presence, Trails Program, recruitment of new members, social events, maps, gear, and newsletter archiving.  Our message to you is best encapsulated in this brief video
Last Wednesday we had 11 teams or individuals entered in our NRG Trivia on Zoom. Congrats to Steve & Rodney for 1st place, edging out Leigh Reynolds by 1 point. Both received an eGift Card from Woolworths. SAVE THE DATE for our next trivia session on Wednesday, 28th July.
Meanwhile, take advantage of the cool sunny weather and keep running. If you're working from home, hopefully there's more flexibility to do your session during daylight. And if you're running to get your vaccine, even better. So whether you're running around in circles, rolling on a bicycle, or getting Rickrolled while on your stationary bike, make the daily investment to stay fit and your body will pay you back.

NRG is a community based running group and has a NSW registered COVID-19 Safety Plan. Aware of the latest COVID situation, and the risks associated with gatherings, your club’s committee recognises how important running is to your mental and physical health, so we are hosting our regular sessions in line with NSW current policy. Pre-registration for all events via this website is mandatory. No exceptions. This is for tracing in the very unfortunate and unlikely situation where somebody tests positive who's been to a recent session.
