When did you start with NRG?
I started around 2018 but then took a break from running and rejoined in 2023!
What Pace Group do you run with?
Saturday back of the pack.
Would you recommend NRG club to friends and family?
Definitely! My husband joined with me the first time and I am trying to convince my neighbours and friends to join as well.
What is your favourite way to spend a weekend?
Morning run with NRG of course! Unfortunately I don’t always make it every weekend as I usually take care of my mum on the weekends and sometimes the schedule overlaps.
What was the best vacation you ever took and why?
Hiking up to Everest Base Camp – beautiful people and scenery all along the trek. Very challenging as you get closer to base camp and you have to share 1 bathroom between 40 people, but it was one of the best thing I ever did.
Would you say you're more of an extrovert or an introvert?
Usually an extrovert, but when I am in the middle of a tough run (e.g. before coffee, end of a race or up the 10th hill) best to avoid me as my Tourette and French comes out.
What's your favourite thing about your current job?
Annual leave and it helps pay for my hobbies =)
How would your 10 year old self react to what you do?
Probably cry – I am in risk and compliance.
What's the career highlight you're most proud of?
Being in my current role for 8 years and I am still smiling.
What are you most proud of in the last year?
Getting back into running after a 5 year hiatus, managing my knee issues and completing a marathon in July!
Who do you admire most in the world?
The quiet every day hero who just gets on with living their best life no matter what life throws at them.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?
Spain – good food, good wine, sunshine and you just have to add an O to every word and you speak the language! Like Una BeerO Por Favor =P. But sensible me say Tasmania – you also have good food, good wine, beautiful scenery and it is only a short flight from friends and family in Sydney.
If you could go back or forward to anytime, when/where would you go?
The 80’s! Puffy sleeves, perms, Lionel Richie and Billy Ocean
