Club AWAY run on Saturday 20th August is a run over the revised 2022 Coastal Classic course. Note that due to extensive rockfalls the route from Otford to Bundeena is not usable so the race now starts and ends at Bundeena, and this is what we’ll be doing on the 20th. Meet at the rear of the Bundeena RSL (the usual race finish line) in time for an 8am departure, run from there to Wattamolla (~14km) and return. Or cut it shorter and turn around at any point as you wish. The route is mostly boardwalk with a few sandy sections, no need for trail shoes. Bring hydration and nutrition as appropriate, the usual sun protection, and funds for coffee, lunch etc when you finish. What does the run have to offer? Stunning views, chance of whale sightings, and an iconic route along the coast with an outlook completely different to the usual concrete jungles we run through. All welcome!
